"Sometimes it helps when you've broad shoulders," Ozcan said. Cologne played with the word "Tolerance" emblazoned across the front of the players' shirts in place of their usual sponsorship. The club also invited 1,000 migrants to the game, played under the motto "Tolerance and Integration."

"It was an entertaining evening," Ingolstadt coach Ralph Hasenhuettl said of his side's first dropped points away from home in the club's first Bundesliga season. "We had a bit of luck tonight but we're a promoted side, we shouldn't get carried away," Matip said. Cologne climbed to fifth, ahead of Ingolstadt on goals scored, before the rest of the seventh round is played on over the weekend.Captain Marvin Matip scored on his 30th birthday to salvage a 1-1 draw for Ingolstadt at Cologne in the Bundesliga on Friday. Anthony Modeste opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a fine header from Marcel Risse's cross, only for the unmarked Matip to equalize with a header from a corner in the 21st. "It was a nice goal," Modeste said of his opener, "but it didn't lead to the win. Against such teams, we have to win or it could get close in the end."

Wenger condemns Arsenal troublemakers

Arsene Wenger has condemned the Arsenal fans, who clashed with stewards and ripped down hoardings at the end of Wednesday night’s Capital One Cup victory at Tottenham.
Midfielder Mathieu Flamini scored twice, including a stunning late winner to secure bragging rights in the north London derby, but the celebrations were overshadowed by disturbances which saw a minority of the 3,000 travelling supporters in the corner of the South Stand ripping down Tottenham club slogans.

Police and stewards were forced to intervene and Arsenal are now working with both Tottenham and the authorities, with banning orders a likely outcome for any offenders – a move which Wenger applauded.
“We cooperate completely with the authorities to sort that out. We don’t want any violence,” said Wenger, who takes his side to Leicester on Saturday.
“I don’t really know what happened but we are the disposal of the authorities to help them to sort it out.”

Wenger feels the performance at White Hart Lane showed his squad, which saw several players rotated, have the needed character to get their campaign back on track.
He said: “It shows that we have a big squad at a very strong level and I have always considered that because I have confidence in every single player.

“The team who played at Tottenham basically played at Zagreb the week before. That shows I have great confidence in my players.”
